Siltcoos and Woahink Lakes

Siltcoos and Woahink Lakes are excellent sites for sailing activities. Both lakes are sufficiently large to accommodate sailing in keel boats, with all the comforts of their large decks and cockpits, and cabins for warmth and shelter in inclement weather. Smaller boats are also fun for the adventurous. Sabots, Optis, Lasers, Sunfish, Hobie Cats, and Lido 14s have all been seen on the lakes. Winds are typical of inland lakes, alternating between steady afternoon coastal breezes and heavier gusts of stormy weather. Although wintertime often brings rain and chilly temperatures, great sailing for hardy outdoor enthusiasts can be found at any time of year on Siltcoos and Woahink Lakes. And, on a warm summer day don’t hesitate to throw down an anchor and go for a swim.
